This is my first ever design project in the school of Architecture, at the University of Florida. The Cube, my first architecture project, delves into the realm of spatial exploration through the lens of implicit and explicit spaces. Constrained within the dimensions of a 6” x 6” x 6” cube, the project embarks on three distinct spatial studies, each unraveling the compositional potentialities inherent in the cubic form. The foundational principles of implicit versus explicit spaces are scrutinized, with a deliberate emphasis on the transformation of two-dimensional elements into a cohesive three-dimensional volume. Guided by the paradigm of modeling techniques learned in class, the spatial studies use a singular combination of spatial and material mediums. This was probably my hardest project out of the three, probably becuase it was my first ever architecture project. Learning all of these new methods and vocabulary for the first time while presenting that into a physical model.
